As President and CEO, David Capps is responsible for leading the company’s investment strategy through sourcing acquisitions and investments in hospitality related properties. 

Prior to forming Pendant Capital, Capps worked for Aimbridge Hospitality for over 13 years. During his tenure at Aimbridge, Capps facilitated acquisitions of over $2B in hotel real estate. Previously, Capps served as Assistant Vice President at Merrill Lynch Capital, where he sourced and underwrote balance sheet and securitized loans for ground-up development, repositioning and/or acquisition of hotel and resort properties in the form of first mortgages, mezzanine, of preferred equity positions. Additionally, Capps completed the Credit Training Program at Amegy Bank in Houston, TX. 

Capps is a graduate from University of Houston, where received a Bachelor or Art in Finance from the Bauer College of Business.
